Happy Father’s Day

While Moms are usually responsible for maintaining order in the family, it is Dads who come as a much needed respite in hours of rescue. He is our big friend, our protector, most daughters’ first love and a son’s mentor. In a nutshell, he is more than the man who pays the bills. He is the man who stays strong for us in the worst of times. This Father’s Day don’t miss out on the opportunity to thank the big man. And rather than just expressing your gratitude with words (not that it isn’t recommended), pair it with a valuable gift. Pen Boutique presents to you an assortment of item that could be your Father’s Day gift.

1. Pilot Namiki Vanishing Point Pen Black Carbon Fiber/Rhodium Fountain Pen: The revolutionary push button fountain pen is one of a kind, just like your father. The black carbon fiber finish gives it a rough, sturdy appearance that has a nib of gold. In fact, this could even be a family heirloom.

2. Dalvey Grand Voyager Compass: For the outdoor-man that your father is or wants to be, the Dalvery Grand Voyager Compass is the perfect father’s day gift. With the glazed window and dramatic deep-engraved detailing the compass makes for a powerful yet classic impression.

3. Montblanc Cuff Links Round PVD finish Stainless Steel and Black Onyx: This pair of cuff links is a style statement; the black onyx is bold and the stainless steel frame is elegant. For the stylish pop who can always dress a notch above you, the cuff links from Montblanc is perfect.

4. Dalvey Desk Globe and Stand: The crystal globe can have emotional value if you don’t live very close to your father or work keeps you two away from each other around the year. The globe could easily be the centerpiece of your Dad’s work desk – a reminder that despite the distance he is close to your heart.

5. Dalvey Grand Odyssey Clock: Well the watch is the definition of classic and everyone should have one of their own. You father will love it, despite his preferences or taste.

These are the top five gift suggestion we have for you, but these aren’t the only ones available. We have prepared an entire segment stacked with possible Father’s Day gifts. Pick as you please for your old man.

Christmas Gifts for All

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

The fire crackles warm and bright,
The beautiful tree stands astride,
As I open gifts on this glorious night,
I hear Christmas carols,
And everything is all right.

That time of the year is nigh, when we celebrate not only the miraculous birth of Christ, but also life, love and family. Christmas is just around the corner, and as Christ brought us the gift of life, we are prone to gift others good things, for the sake of giving. And since, giving is better than receiving, we bring you a list of cool items that you will rejoice giving others, this holiday season.

For Him
Getting a gift for men, whether it is your father, brother, friend or a significant someone is very difficult. The search gets even frustrating, with the holiday season breathing warm air on your neck. To rescue you from the heated, messy affair of buying the right gift for a man, we bring you a list of favorable gift options below. Choose wise, choose as you please.

Cufflinks
Cufflinks make for a great gift for any hard working man, who cares about his appearance. And even if the receiver is your brother or a friend, who is yet to tread the white collar world, cufflinks can be a thoughtful and useful gift. Raise the bar and go for something exclusive such as a Visconti Bridges Carbon Graphite Cufflinks and Montblanc Silver Oval Rhodium Plated with Black Obsidian Cuff Links, or you can also get cufflinks that cost less than $100.

Pens
A good fountain pen has always been a trademark of rich legacy and education. Gift a fine pen to a man and he will value it forever. A gorgeous pen from noted brands such as Montblanc, Visconti and Parker is sure to add an added flair to this entire gift affair. If you are aware of something he has been eyeing on for a while than your job is made even easier. If not, try to dig out information of his idol. Pen brands keep releasing pens designed after famous people. With luck, you will find what he would cherish.

Wallet
This is the easiest or the laziest gift to give a guy. I say easiest, because every guy needs it, and laziest because we assume every guy needs it and end up buying the first, cheap wallet in view. But it doesn’t have to be so. Make an effort to know the preference or need of the receiver and shop accordingly. Brands like Bosca, Burberry and Cross might be your saving grace.

Watch
If you have the bucks, then wristwatch is the probably the second most common gift for men. They like it; they use it, and watches make for a smart, stylish and sophisticated gift. Find a stylish one from Montegrappa and Tissot, and surprise the man in question.

For Her
Buying a gift for a girl can prove to be tricky. What you think she wants may not be the thing she really wants, and vice versa. So, the best thing to anyone can do when choosing a gift for a woman, whether mother, sister or the significant other is to really know what she really likes. But in case this is a last minute shopping and you cannot figure out what she likes, then here are some surefire gifts to keep her gleaming with joy.

Cashmere/Pashmina clothing
Ladies love clothes, whether they are shopping for it or receiving it as a gift. Why not make her happy this holiday season with a warm cashmere or pashmina scarf, shawl or gloves. Sweaters aren’t a great idea, here. Show some warm love in the cold winter!

Pens
Pens make for a safe option as gifts for women, but a savvy-safe gift. Depending on who you are giving it to, pick an inexpensive pen or an expensive pen. But we ask you, not to be a penny-pincher. Spend a few extra bucks on a fine pen for the lady and it will be appreciated. If anyone cares, I have dibs on the Caran d Ache Dunas Shiny Red Fountain Pen. Thank you!

Jewelry
What kind of woman doesn’t like jewelry? Occasion or not, a woman loves to be showered with jewelry. Earrings, finger rings, necklaces and what not. Just make it real and she will love it.

Spa Day
A hardworking woman needs a spa day, any day of the year. Whether she is a stay-at-home mom, or a CEO of a multi-national company, she deserves a break for doing everything she does. Buy her a spa day, filled with full-body massage, manicure, pedicure, sauna, Jacuzzi and what not. Trust us she will enjoy every bit of this gift. And on second thought, maybe this gift isn’t so bad for men too. After all, they deserve a relaxed day too.

Merry Christmas!!

This Christmas the new arrivals and presents go hand in hand.

I was quite proud of my local television broadcasters this year – I only saw one Christmas advertisement before Halloween. It was quite a shock, and even after a week I’ve only seen a dozen of them at best. (Though now that I think about it, it may have been because of the recent influx of political ads. Thank goodness that’s finally over.) Though Christmas seems to be taking a laid-back approach this year, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should. In fact, this is the perfect opportunity to get most, if not all, of your Christmas shopping done before the season gets into full swing.
So to avoid what will eventually become a serious case of “Last Minute Shopping” fever – which will undoubtedly end up with you fighting with a haggard middle-aged woman in the middle of Bed, Bath and Beyond over the last heated back massager – get your shopping done early and efficiently. Better yet, why not take the stress of leaving your house and hustling through crowded marketplaces for hours on end out of the equation entirely? Shopping online is quick, easy, and something you can do at home in your PJs with a cup of hot chocolate. (Which is probably the best way to do anything, now that I think about it.) So sit back, relax, and enjoy perusing the internet, because this season is bringing vast and varied collections that are sure to make the perfect gifts for the entire family.
First and foremost in this impromptu Christmas collection is the Parker Ingenuity Large Red. It is a beautiful limited edition piece that pays tribute to one of the most sacred mythical creatures in Chinese history. In honor of 2012 being the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar Parker has created a piece that is just as breathtaking as it is culturally inspiring. Its sturdy body is coated with vibrant, maroon-colored Chinese lacquer. A striking, gold-plated acid-etched dragon wraps around the barrel in a pleasantly exotic design. The gilded creature is beautifully complimented by the 1.2mm gold plated barrel, cap and gold PVD trims. Completely an already enticing offer is the Ingenuity’s legendary flexible tip. Famed for its intuitive adjustment to the user’s writing style, it provides an exceptionally smooth and fluid writing experience.

Second is a pen that, instead of being held back by its seemingly simplistic style, is curiously liberated by its translucent design. The Visconti Opera Crystal Demo Fountain Pen is made of a special material that displays its clear showcase resin. It possesses a durable, chromium 18 SmarTouch tubular nib that is beautifully engraved with the Visconti logo. It uses a finely cared double reservoir Snorkel Filler that is included in the striking black and cream colored case. (It’s almost like gift-wrapped snow!)

Next is one of the many cleverly constructed pieces in Pilot Namiki’s Vanishing Point collection. While the many others have been bright and fluorescent, the Gunmetal Black Matte has a sleek and stylish look all its own. Its retractable, 18K gold rhodium-plated nib has the ability to completely disappear into the Black Matte’s durable metal body. The smoky, dark-silver coloring gives the barrel a decidedly noir look that compliments cool, crisp Christmas nights.

Finally, there is Porsche’s new TechFlex collection. Now that they’ve proven they can build something more than some of the world’s nicest cars, Porsche is trying its hand at revamping its very first collection. The TechFlex’s chic, basic black coloring provides a sleek and exciting new look for this classical series. The extraordinary barrels are made out of fine stainless steel threads that are finished with a special PVD coating. The front and end areas are reinforced with a scratch-resistant PVD coating. The fountain pen’s elegant look is effortlessly polished off by a beautiful, completely rhodinized 18K gold nib. Please note that right now new techflex are Preorders and they would be just in time for Christmas . Now if ordering techflex as a Christmas gift is an risk go for the ever popular shake pen with the new 2 colors Black and Silver .The Porsche Design Shake Pen is regarded as a high-tech pocket ballpoint pen. A particularly impressive feature is the innovative “shake” technology: A short, quick flick of the wrist causes the cartridge to extend or retract.

Every one of these lovely treasures would make an excellent gift this holiday season. From the Parker Ingenuity Red’s fiery appeal to the Vanishing Point’s exotic allure, these pieces can cater to everyone’s preferred type. Whether they like dazzling fluoresce, radiant simplicity or refined stylishness, none of these pieces will fail to impress. Each and every one is top notch, top of its class and is sure to be at the top of your list this holiday season.
