Sailor discontinuation of the Jentle Inks.

Sailor North America  have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Sailor Jentle Ink collection of North America exclusive bottled ink colors that include Epinard, Apricot, Sky High, Ultramarine, Grenade, and Peche.

First, a little history. These six colors were originally developed by Sailor for the global market, but after Sailor introduced the first batch of their Shikiori “Four Seasons” ink colors, they decided to discontinue these six colors globally. The world was up in arms, especially our North America market that had fallen in love with these six colors. Knowing there was going to be strong demand for these inks, Itoya bought up a one year supply of this ink as a last hurrah, but they quickly sold out of “one year supply” in just one week.

The world didn’t have these six colors for several years.

But due to popular demand, it was brought back in 2016 exclusively for the North American market. Demand was extremely strong when it was  brought back in 2016. People had hoarded bottles and bottles of Apricot, Epinard, Grenade, and the rest. Most people rejoiced! People selling their old scarce bottles on eBay were understandably miffed.

Since 2016, the world has changed. Sailor has introduced over 110 new bottled ink colors since then. So Itoya has  made the very difficult decision to discontinue these six Sailor Jentle ink colors. We think there will be a second hoarding rush when consumers find out. We have a decent inventory of these ink bottles still in stock, so please place your orders while supplies last. Thank you very much for your support of these wonderful ink colors. We’re going to miss them, and we think you will as well.  But get your bottle now to enjoy.

We also have a quick video on this on our facebook page.

Hop to buy now.
