Filofax Spring Organizers

It feels like spring time here - temperatures are in the 50s and rainy.  Along with the spring-like weather, comes the new Filofax Spring organizers.  There are so many new colors and styles to choose from.

The Filofax Patent series features a high gloss patent finish with a matching color pen loop.  There are the eye-pleasing colors: Lavender, Lemon and Duck Egg.  It comes with the standard Filofax inserts: 2015 calendar/diary, #1-6 index, To do list, Contacts, Ruler/page marker and assorted notepapers.  There is a space in the front cover for cards and a pocket in the back for a notepad.  These are available in the Pocket and Personal sizes only.  My favorite is the Lemon color - a nice sunshine yellow for a rainy day.

The Daises organizers put a smile on my face since they are my favorite flower.  It has a soft touch cotton twill canvas cover, with a field of daises all around.  This is available in the pocket or personal size. The personal size has 6 card slots in the front and space for a notepad in the back.  I did need to purchase the To do refill for it since it does not arrive with that.  I would be lost without my to do list!
The Domino Patent series has a new design - spots.  The Pine and Aubergine organizers have spots on them.  Yes - I had to look up the word Aubergine - it is a British word for eggplant.  The organizer looks more of a dark fuchsia/purple with pink spots than a typical eggplant color (at least to me).  The Domino Patent also has the ever popular Fluorescent Pink and Turquoise colors.  Only the Pink color is available in the pocket, personal and A5 size, the rest are available in personal and A5 only.

The Saffiano series returns with Pear and Aquamarine, available in Pocket, Compact, Personal and A5.  The Pear is a very bright yellow green color and the Aquamarine a nice deep blue green. The Pear compact is the perfect gift for my teenage cousin.  She will always be able to find it in her bag.
And last, but certainly not least - a Filofax for my dad.  He loves his Nappa personal size zipped organizer.  He is the envy of his Florida neighborhood. The rich leather colors of Black and Taupe together are quite handsome. These are available in personal and A5 size, zipped or without. There is a pocket on the front cover and a zipped pocket on the back, which is perfect for a little extra cash or a cellphone.

Refreshing summer experiences for ever...

Alright everyone, hear me out, or correct me if you think I’m totally wrong, but I’m beginning to think that “summer” should be classified as an emotion. Or, better yet, a state of being. Think about it: what is summer, other than the typical clichés of nighttime beach parties, backyard barbeques and water parks. While summer is definitely composed of those things, I firmly believe there’s a feeling in the air when you wake up that is purely attributed to this time of the year. 

Summer, I think, is the vibrant feeling of enjoying life after the rejuvenation of spring. It’s the sharp, salty taste of the air on a seaside boardwalk. It’s the beauty of a clear, star-studded sky on a warm night. It’s the call of freedom and the song of youth. Summer, it seems to me, is this happy, invigorating time that, despite all its pleasantries, does some extremely crazy things with our perceptions of time and daily routines. The days of summer always feel free-flowing, as if the strict schedule the rest of the year forces us to keep is suddenly stripped away, and we’re left to go about our days and nights unhindered by time constraints. For example, our weeks are typically experienced as, “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, etc.” In summer, time seems to very quickly fade and blur until you have no real concept of day-to-day time.  Things end up being more like: “Monday, Tuesday, Thursday….um, what day is it? Sunday? Already!?” (Or at least, this is how my summers are.)

Now don’t get me wrong, none of this is bad! It’s perfectly fine, and a very nice way to live for a few months, but sometimes this seamless existence can seem a little too…evanescent. Whimsical spontaneity is good, necessary even, but sometimes it feels really good just to plan out your week. Even if it’s something as simple as jotting down the time you’re going to dinner with your friends, the feeling of making a plan and subsequently fulfilling it is a pleasure we all can relate to.

Celebrate Mothers Day with Pen Boutique

At no initial point are you aware of your mother’s presence. There is no moment in time where you consciously acknowledge her existence – she is there the moment you enter this world, and no matter how long or short your time together is, she remains a permanent, immovable fixture in your life. Filofax Flex Notes,fun and more….

The Fourth of July has come and gone, the local theme parks are packed, the days are hot, the nights are warm, and if you look outside, right after sunset, you will see armies of lightning bugs brightening the woods. Summer is officially in full swing, accompanied by its usual entourage: bliss, relaxation, and freedom. This year Filofax, one of the world’s most trusted stationery manufacturers, has introduced a new member to the world of summer: the Flex. The Flex is a three-part notebook series that is guaranteed to transform your summer from endless carefree days into one full of inspiration, literary satisfaction and a new favorite writing companion.

The Flex comes in three sizes: A5 (170x223mm), slim (105x163mm) and flex pocket (100x133mm). The A5 is the most commonly used given its size, unlimited functionality and diversity.
